This guy is so bored with what he's saying he yawns...........take a pill, get a haircut. Stop whining. Being an artist shouldn't limit what you do for a living. Being creative and honing your skills would be an asset in so many lines of work. Perhaps the problem with him is that he thinks just because he has a talent that others should reward him, support his lifestyle, pay his rent. If it's not working for you do something else to support yourself and create on the side. Hope this video was not used for a job interview to be a motivational speaker!

Just based on the comments I refuse to watch this video. Not to mention I know far too many artist who are self sustaining. There are a lot of people who work regular jobs with steady paychecks that have zero benefits as well. How can anyone allow one mans journey affect your mood or thinking. The only difference between a rut and a grave is the dirt in your face. Except I will not lay still enough to allow that to happen. I will use that very same dirt life will try to bury you with and use it as the underfoot I need to elevate myself up out of the hole. This talent was not put in me to just be a hobby nor was the passion for creating to live. I was put here to inspire and help people and bring some amount of visual pleasure with my gift. I am successful in that right alone. You are what you think, what you focus on, that includes the outcomes you don't want as well. Align yourself with God or the universe or whomever or what ever and it will come. Your season will come. Whats for you is for you but you have to be proactive as well. Peace and blessing now carry on.

"If any of you are artists who are watching this, don't be discouraged."  How can you NOT be discouraged? That is a sad video. I hope his 61st birthday got a bit better as the day went along. As for me, I will continue to enjoy playing and creating, and if I make any money out of it, that's just a bonus.

I think I will just go out and slash my ankles... (leaves a better looking corpse)... So depressing... but he's right in that very few will make a half a living from their art. Maybe the answer is not to expect it. Like that song from the 70's, "Art for art's sake... Money for Gods sake." 10cc I think it was.

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
