A gallery that I show in is closing down due to the economic times. Bummer!!!!!! The owner emailed all the artists saying that she will be opening an E-Gallery instead and that we could still show with her through that. Only she is raising her commission from 40% to 45%. No Thank You!!!! Can't believe she would have the nerve to ask for more money when she is offering less as a gallery. Oh well, this will motivate me to approach some other galleries. There is one in particular I have had in mind. As the saying goes....."When a door closes, somewhere a window opens"

A gallery owner I've know a long time & who I have given a lot of art work to for framing has decided to not accept any emerging or lesser know artists now as, in these hard times, all the galleries in her area have closed down. She is now able to attract the big names that would not exhibit with her in the past. Its just business, however, its sad she has lost sight that the lesser known artists were the very ones who supported her well in the past so that she could be here now.......hopefully new galleries will eventually open up when things start to improve.

thats disgusting - she ought to be ashamed of herself - she will be paying less fees doing less work and asking more money - how does that work.

what a nerve.

You'll find someone else Wendy - someone sane.

What a polarva! That is a bit rude i recon, not like your art is taking up physical expensive space!! She should have dropped her commission to start with until she has built it up a bit! Oh well who knows why some people do what they do right?
Plenty more opportunities out there Wendy and I know you will find them for sure...Good Hunting!

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
