YOUR EYES/VISION !!!
yesterday i had an eye exam and was diagnosed with FUCHS' DYSTROPHY! http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0004550/
i'm still in somewhat a state of shock. all i was expecting was to have to get stronger glasses. this diagnosis has commanded my attention. i will REALLY appreciate all that i can see. i will visualize and create more art than ever now while i can.

Comment by DeMarie "Paintslinger" on March 29, 2012 at 5:31am diana, no at this time i am not eligible for a donor transplant. right now my vision is blurred and hoping for very slow progression. the dystrophy can progress slow or it can nose dive into little vision or blindness.
Comment by Diana on March 29, 2012 at 4:55am no - macular degeneration is not the same thing. Demarie, you're eligible for a corneal transplant? That is an option -- just make sure that you get the best ophthalmologist you can - who's done the most transplants. Travel to an eye center if you have too. that's my best advice.
yes,Demarie, don't give up,search,at least you do something and who knows what others have to say !
Keep creating,it's better than getting depressed, keep us informed, love from me,Elke
Comment by DeMarie "Paintslinger" on March 28, 2012 at 12:19pm mo, hmmmm, i dunno but i will ask my eye doc about said 'fake' corneas. thank you.
Comment by DeMarie "Paintslinger" on March 28, 2012 at 10:58am thanx bronwyn. but it's not the same. there is no prevention of fuchs' dystrophy. at some point, the only thing that can be done is cornea transplant in each eye. however, i have the beginning of cataract in each eye, which at some point also will require surgery. cataract surgery causes some cornea damage which i already have to much of. so....i may not be able to have the cataract surgery in the future. i just have to hope and pray that the fuchs' dystrophy progresses slowly. thanx for the info though. i appreciate it.
Comment by Bronwyn Palmer on March 28, 2012 at 8:59am Wow De, that's so hard! No wonder you're in shock!
I read an article just the other day about macular degeneration (don't know if it's the same thing), talking about how diet can help. Here's a link to some general information: http://www.amd.org/living-with-amd/123-google-nutrition.html. May be worth a little research.
HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.
And this is the completed screen ready for printing. I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
