im feeling totally uninspired i havent finished or started anything in months and it kills me to look into my studio and not feel anything i dont know what to do to find that spark but looking at my old works i discover i hate them all none of them express who and what i am now the factions and splits in my soul now make me feel almost regretful of time past by

life changes

so am i a bad person?

so am i bad for thinking of joining the military? im not sure how many of our group here are pacifists or just believe that America is wrong for acting like the school bully and flexing our military muscles every time someone so much as looks like they are about to do something wrong but is it bad that i have bin thinking of joining? finally back!!!!

well after what felt like eternity without my laptop i finally got it back from dell lol i guess it goes to show you dont honestly know what you got until its gone lol anyway i missed bein able to just get on and look up anything i need or getting on here and looking at everyone's stuff and having discussions on here lol so for the past few months ive bin sick as a dog still dont feel to amazing but im gettin better slowly. im almost done with my dads memorial boat i finished the hull yesterday… Continue

totally awesome day

so i went to an auction today of an art store here in town. i set a strict budget of only 200 dollars for this auction lol because i know how i am at auctions i buy stupid stuff just cause i like the competition. anyway i got 75 stretched canvases for 20 dollars!!! and 200 cubic feet of unstretched canvas for only 15 bucks! i got 30 dollars brushes for 2 dollars a piece. and more paint than ill prolly use the rest of my life lol all in all it was a good day and filled my truck for only 100…

whoo hoo!

went up to gauge size half inch in my ears today lol got some sweet new gauges got a pair of huge emerald ones and a pair thats hollow with red stones around the rim i bin listenin to the playlist on here i wish i knew who put that mexican mavis song on it i really like that song anyway did more work on the boat today we got a thin layer of ice last night so that was certainly fun i kept slidin all over the place eventually i used the torch to held in front of my feet to melt the ice…

o wow

so i just discovered that my first name damon spelled backwards is nomad!! lol a nomad is someone who travels alone from place to place that decribes me perfectly i have lived in 15 states lol wow o ya i use my middle name for everything my full name is damon logan smart in case anyone couldn figure that out lol

i can see the light at the end of the tunnel

what can i say about me?

what can i say lol ive bin in a slump here lately after losing my father and fiance all in the same week :( i dont really know how to start again im afraid if i do anything now my feelings of hurt and abandonment will enter the works and i hate paintings like that. anyone who reads this im sorry to pour my feelings out into the public but i find that writing helps me sort through things in my head besides blogss are supposed to be about the person and their life right?? so this is my life at… Continue

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion. 

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).
