NEVER make tuna salad in a hurry!

Well...here is the latest in my twisted life. To those who don't know me,I pop in once in awhile here to make a smile or even some laughter. (That's Art right?) Might be my last...blah,blah,blah....

AHHHHHH! A little Bitchin....

Wow! I'm FINALLY on for more than 5 minutes and am trying to cram ALL that I have missed this week on LMM!  My Husband has had the week "off" and we have been busy cutting,splitting & stacking firewood! YES...In this heat wave! And it sucks ass! Getting in a ball game,fishing,berry picking,training dog to find shed antlers (ALL me),camping,river fishing and a few visits with friends! As per "spoon hanging" by Kathy McElroy.....

After seeing Kathy McElroy's pic I got a dumb brainstorm.....What if we held a monthly or kept it as a blog "If you want my crap" section on here? Posted pics of our wares,traded addys,,all is FREE,If you need the other party to pay postage,have a Paypal account or something......yadda,yadda...like an ATC trade?? I have LOTS of stuff that I never use and see someone else's posting/assemblage, etc....saying to myself..."Wow! They would LOVE to have my yada,yada's!!"  So...what do you all think???

Remember this?

Ok-so I have been working all week at making fimo-sculpey-pendants...I am NOW awaiting more Silver chains for these...I have gotten my "pasta/clay" machine and LOVE it!!!! I have some braided leather necklace cords but not all of the colors go with what I have done and am buying some "ribbon necklaces" also that I think will work other than the silver chains. A "boogie" tale.....

Ok Ok...We all poop,fart and at some point...don't cringe now...pick our nose! I will admit this! I was so enthralled with posting pics after my griddle/crayon stunt and answering emails on here and posting to my blog that I forgot to wash my hands which were pretty much covered in dried on blue acrylic paint! It all started with a pantie liner....

Got you all to peek and wonder...what the hell???  This morning I opened my makeup/hair tie drawer in a desperate attempt to find a pantie liner as with having 8 people who have lived here,just about anything got dropped in there.

Not so Merry Christmas

Hello all,I thought I would stop for a break and blog about my last few days. I got a phone call from my Brother Larry Friday night informing me that our brother Jeremy had passed away very unexpectedly and that the police were still with our Mom. It was not an auto accident or suicide. He just turned 39 on Halloween. nothing to sneeze at 2010

After reading Gray,Lisa and Jay's blog...I feel I have more than ever to be thankful for! I haven't had to go through the turmoil of any of them! In fact...my life has been pretty darn good despite it's ups and downs which haven't compared to theirs.I feel very fortunate that my husband is always there for me and my children are all in good health.So...I may not be able to afford my dreams with art and painting...but I have done what I can with what I can get my hands onto.

I need a smoke after that!

A little more on Gary's "Flying Goats" vid

I'm the curious type so I googled the "Flying Goats". I used to help raise goats as a teen and know they can do some real strange crap!



Goats on trees are found mostly only in Morocco. The goats climb them because they like to eat the fruit of the argan tree, which is similar to an olive. Farmers actually follow the herds of goats as they move from tree to tree. So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion. 

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).
