Are we living in a Second Renaissance?

I will be the first to admit I am no Michelangelo as you can see from the image I posted here. But, this image took me less than 5 minutes to create and upload using a new program I had never used prior to this one.…

Another New Year

Every year, filled with hope, I make my list of resolutions; tuck the list away, only to forget about it. It is as if just making the list would fulfill it. A wise person said, “The road to failure is paved with good intentions”. Although I do not consider myself a failure, I am often disappointed when I look at my list at the end of the year. I rationalize that maybe I set the bar too high, or that some other situation over shadowed everything, ie, the economy, family issues and health. Truth… Continue

Moving the studio....it's soooo much work!!!

Has anyone had to move their studio lately??? My building was sold to a condo builder and I was forced to find a new space. I guess, in a way, it has turned out to be a good thing...but it wasn't something that I wanted to do. I am lucky enough to live in an area that has alot of old shoe factories in it....so I'm going from one old building to another....just 1 town over. My new space is much different than the old. It is an open loft style...square....and noisy (there are 2 recording studios… Continue

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
