I Found A Time Capsule

I found this time capsule around March of 2011 while playing Bingo scratch tickets. Inside is an assortment of jewelry and a rather bizarre valuable - fake eye lashes. I felt it was wrong to keep, so I hid it so well that I couldn't find it myself for the past four months. This is the last time I will see it since I buried it in hope of preservation so that future generations can also do a little treasure hunting. I still wonder who it belonged to and why jewelry? In any case, enjoy the…

More LMMers meet IRL!!

I may not blog often but when I do I blog BIG!!

I just have to say what a great holiday I have just had.  Meeting up with 4 LMMers, going to numerous galleries, studios and workshops, there was never a dull moment.  I even got to roll up my sleeves and get waxy.  Not sunburns but shellace burns were the icing on the cake for me.

It took some time for me to get used to the idea of going back home to Canada for a visit.  I wanted to go home and see my family, but alas…

Two sold paintings have arrived at their new home :-)

The gentleman who purchased these is just at the tail end of a remodel and is going to send me some shots of them once the work is finished and the paintings have been hung.

The Social Network...............

I have mixed feelings about the social network.

On the one hand, you hear wonderful stories about its potential to empower people who may not have a voice under different circumstances.  Take for example the recent situation with Delta airlines and…

pick your poison

and so it is quickly approaching……

i have very few Absolute Truths in my life: Convictions that i would literally give up my life for.

1. My children are by far my most beautiful Creation.

2.  There is no better man for me then my husband.

3. I only need a handful of really good friends: those people for whom know my thoughts before i do.

4.  I would have an affair with Ani DiFranco if given the opportunity.

5.  I was put on this earth to…

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
