heartbroken....R.I.P Tib
On Tuesday I finally could pick up my puppy.(see pic) Bought all kinds of toys,a nice pillow to sleep for her,the best dogfood, and so on,I was ready like a real mother that gave birth.
On Friday I had to bring Tib back to the petshop, she was diagnosed with an incurable scab(a microbe)She scratched herself to dead and the vet told me that a dog with this microbe would eventualy lose all his hair en die...Her brother and sisters had it too(contagious)
It was the first dog I ever…

A drawing for every page of Moby Dick!
How cool. What a great Idea. And what great art. I'm envious. I'm astounded. I love it.

First Exhibition
I feel so excited and so lucky to have been selected at a new market to display my work. Although they wanted more ( I know...weird, considering my skill level); I selected about 18 pieces (paintings and photographs) to hang. I framed everything. The work is hung and am so excited. The market is set to open next week, but I don't expect it to really get rolling for another week or two afterwards. The market is about two block from the famous Sun Studios in Memphis and is…

Ideas please.
I think I got the idea going over Gary's past challenges "self portrait"? Anyway this is what I am going for.. I would like to leave the texture of puzzle pieces on canvas. I have tried spackling, molding paste, and wood putty, but they all leave a suction imprint where the piece was (like if you stick paper on wet paint). I watched a video of a mans technique were uses stamps, dollies, and many other items. He said he uses spackling I thought. Has anyone had any success, do you know what I…

Stream of Infinite Possibilities
You know how it is when you become interested in something or you are going through something, suddenly it seems to be everywhere in your life? Like you think about having a baby and all of a sudden, everywhere you look preggo women are walking down the street!
Well, art is that way for me. When I was doing hand sculpted art dolls I was into the PreRaphaelites and Realistic art depicting human forms, fine illustrations and the like. I barely gave abstract art a…

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.
And this is the completed screen ready for printing. I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
