After looking at what I've been doing with photography, my brother gave me some information and the entering fee for a photography contest. I've never shown my photography with anyone but family and everyone on here but, he's talked me into it since I have until April 2nd to get everything together. I posted some photos that I took at 0300 this morning and I'm wanting some feedback and construction crit. Lemme know what you like, don't like and if you think any of them are worthy of being…

I've been working on the December monthly photography challenge and really having some fun. I've been playing with extended shutter times; moving the camera and even driving during the long shutter. A lot happens in a 15 second shutter! I'll be posting some photos soon...

I always have my camera with me and the other day while chillin with my dad at his transmission specialty shop, I saw his work bench in a whole new light. The shapes, burnt oil and metal/aluminum shavings from the interior of the transmission rather spoke to me. I got my camera and started taking pics and really had some fun when I got them home. I've posted them in my pictures please take a look and feel free to comment also...
B. Chrisse Harwanko said… Ok I think he plays both so will wait for his answer.
B. Chrisse Harwanko said… Ok thank you. I have not heard back from him so maybe he has found out the same.
B. Chrisse Harwanko said… thank you for the full on details. I will have to ask him if he is going to play this guitar as someone said applying paper or even paint can change the sound of it.
B. Chrisse Harwanko said… Yes what were your general steps, collage glue did you use, and how did you laminate your art on or did you paint directly?
Nikko Miladinovich said… Welcome aboard.
Ann Hawke said… Wow, never thought of doing that. Guess my dulcimer is in for a few changes lol.

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.
And this is the completed screen ready for printing. I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
