Update on Stellan

Posted on November 21, 2010 at 5:57pm 9 Comments

Thanks to all for their positive energy for Stellan. I have good news to share today. The brain swelling has subsided and there is rapid eye movement. The doctors are a bit more positive of his recovery. All your energy helped with this and even though Stellan is still critical, he is on the up and up and this can only be a good thing.
Stellan's father, who has a heart condition, ended up in hospital himself again, his heart was literally breaking over this, but he is also slowly on the…

Friends Please Help

Hi All,
I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but one of our fellow artists on here has been involved in a very bad car accident and as a result as had severe head trauma as well as other injuries. Stellan Kidman is a man that everyone should know and call friend. A talented artist, poet and when he smiles, he lights up the world. The doctors are not giving much hope if the swelling on his brain doesn't subside. I'm asking all my friends on LMM to send all the positive energy and…

Poetry Challenge- No 4

Mention a motorcycle and ballerina in a poem

Yesterday I met a man in a bar

The bar was neither near nor far

He whispered to me that his name was Mike

The funny thing is, Mike rode a bike

Not a bike as such that you peddle and push

But the one you feel thunder, under your toosh

The bike that Mike had was a Harley to boot

I wished I had one, but I spend all my loot

For a ride we went in excitement filled air

I could hardly wait to… Continue

Poetry Challenge - No.3

Posted on May 18, 2009 at 4:29pm 0 Comments

Not prompted from the list - but I wrote this last night after recalling a 3rd date with an idiot that was sneakily disguised as a potential.

I wish I could be

A Ghost Gum tree

Rooted to the ground

Stretch without a sound

With leaves that rustle

And underneath there's bustle

A couple fawning a frolic

The result of an alcoholic

Displaying public affection

To those with no objection

Then watch them walk away

And embracing come what… Continue

Poetry Challenge - No.2

Posted on May 15, 2009 at 1:10pm 3 Comments

This is from Challenge No. 13

Start a poem with 'This is not a poem, but...

This is not a poem but,

there is something I must say

I haven't been that honest with you

Just sit and listen, Okay?

I'm sorry I can't love you

You're smitten that is true

But we are not that equal

I am red and you are blue

There is no burst of feeling

When you enter in the room

Your conversation bores me

You're full of doom and gloom

Your… Continue

Yes, I know that you are absolutely correct, Suze. Thank you. I must make more time for relaxing. I've begun falling into the old rut that wore me down to a stub.

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
