Religious Science Fiction Art

It started out as a bit of a lark. I was just being funny to amuse myself.  But the first one was so well received that I did another and then a third. I've been taking Science Fiction characters and plugging them into religious art...   Like I said, the first one was a bit of a lark so I didn't really take very…See More

This Accursed Melody - Trailer

Earlier this summer I spent a week at music camp with a great group of kids. I led a band, taught music theory, played my trombone, and had a great time - even if it was the coldest and wetest summer camp ever.  (It rained 5 of the 7 days and temperatures were in the 40's and 50's F.)  And in addition to our regular music camp fun, we made a movie - This Accursed Melody.  This Accursed Melody Trailer from Brad…See More

A Mistake in Scale

I have, for some time now, been painting sea-monsters - particularly of squid and octopus varieties.  My wife would prefer that I paint something more cheerful.  She recomends cats.  This painting -A Mistake in Scale- along with my pathetic cat, are a couple of paintings that I'll be entering into…See More

Happy Old Ladies, Unhappy Cat

Once a week - on Monday afternoons, I set out my painting supplies with a group of old ladies and we paint together.   We're altogether different, of course.  These ladies are, each one, old enough to be my grandmother.  They like painting birds, and dogs, and light-houses, and while there is nothing wrong with these kinds of subjects, I do not like to paint birds and dogs, and lighthouses.  They have, until recently, enjoyed painting in relative silence. I prefer to work with music playing. …See More

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
