Hope you are doing well and enjoying your studiospace! I had to leave my wonderful studio in January and move to another room which I am renting on the resort where we live. It's a great room with large windows and lots of light but for some reason or other I'm having trouble settling in there. I feel all my inspiration has dried out and I also don't have as much time on my own now as I did previously. Work and the tedious task of making money is pulling at me from every direction these days. While I'm waiting for my creative juices to start flowing again I read different kinds of art litterature and buy art DVDs on the internet.

I have a tip on an artist which I think should be promoted on the site. I don't know how many on the site are acquainted with the mixed media/collage artist Anne Bagby. I first became aware of her work and fantastic DVDs about 2 years ago. Anne draws, works with stamps, stencils, masks and selfmade paper and creates wonderful pieces of art. She uses Deli paper to make beautiful patterns which she then uses as collage paper. Anne then glazes her subjects in great color combos. She has made 3 DVDs which are sold through Creative Catalyst Productions, www.ccpvideos.com

Anne is a great teacher, sharing her vast knowledge with her viewers in a friendly and informative way. Her first DVD, Paper, Patterns and Glazing is now on sale for USD 22.95. Needless to say I have all 3 DVDs and keep taking them out and looking at them again and again! She has been a great inspiration to me and I thought others might also benefit from watching her DVDs. Yesterday when I first opened the announcement that my photo ""Attribute" 12x12",encaustic" was just featured on Loving Mixed Media" I also saw an announcement about someone coming on board to help with the website, I also saw an announcement about a book, highly recommended reading about gallery owners. Do you know the name of the book? Sorry but I hoped it would be there today but it was gone.
