Comment by Darwin Sy Antipolo on September 15, 2012 at 3:58am hello my friend! rested and well. after the exhibition, went for a break in berlin/prague/vienna... cameback to tons of 'boring' work in the office. i've gone back to the studio and started messing around again. i found a cafe near our office who is willing to put up some of my works. :) and i see that you did not loose that daily habit of yours. i think i will need a weekend to catch up on your work. hahaha. so many! hey, maybe i can talk to the cafe owner and hang some of your pieces there (for sale). see, we/ i may get my wish to present your works here in singapore.... *oh, i'm excited now*
lemme just organise my thoughts. afew business travels in the next few weeks but after that... working on the art side. later...bye!
Hi Darwin! How are you?I'm still rolling along with my daily ones! What are you up to?
Comment by Darwin Sy Antipolo on September 15, 2012 at 1:32am wow. i come back to LMM and who do I see featured in the main page?!
elke, so fantastic to be greeted back by a beautiful piece. :D so inspiring....
go, go, go! more, more, more!
so very kind of you,Bluebird!
Congratulations on being featured Elke. Such fabulous paintings getting well deserved recognition. Can't wait to see what the rest of your painting a day year brings.
lol Elke it was me, I thought you needed a bit of exposing!!
Re making a book, I did one some time ago for the travelling journals project on here which you may remember - the book is called Many Lands, Many Hands which you can preview here: http://www.blurb.co.uk/books/1428133
I found blurb's bookmaking software pretty easy to use (although it did take up a lot of time LOL) - I know there are other options out there but that is the one I know about.
Thanks Danielle!Did you put me on the front page or was it Mary Helen?
Put me a bit into a shock really and i feel very weird to be exposed in the open! Now i actually plan to get the paintings collected in a book but i have no idea how to go about it.Maybe those photoalbums on internet aren't too expensive ,let me know if someone has an idea to share with me - et encore grand merci!!!

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.
And this is the completed screen ready for printing. I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
