Fuer Marianne 65x55 cm

commission work for a friend of mine as a follow up of the fossil series. We agreed on one colour scheme per canvas and that was a real challenge for me. The life modell is in the right hand corner. As a primary teacher she wanted primary colours.Hope it's to her liking as it's a bit nervwrecking to do commission work!!!
fibrite, acrylyc paint, silver wax and enamel paint as well 3D stencils for the background

thanks a lot to all of you and sorry if i don't reply as i'm not on top of my page all the time!

I do the rhombus shapes with a stencil cut out into thin foam sheets which can be cleaned and reused many times. Take any cardboard or plasticsheet etc. to cut out the form and fill it with any kind of modellingpaste, plaster, thick paint before lifting it off slowly.I do paint over it when dry and use enamal paint for high gloss.Hope it's clear...

thanks Bev and Philomena!
Phil,i use lots of layers to get the thickness of the paint combined with gloss, varnish, enamel paint on top of acrylic, lets guess, 10 to 15 layers and in the end it looks like leather.I do polish as well with some wax sometimes,i have all sorts, white, gold, silver, bronze etc.

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
