RED!
Something easy and versatile for the start of the group so everyone can dip their toes and feel comfortable. The theme for this month is RED. Just that - RED. It can be anything at all that has RED in it. It's coming into Fall so you could do Red fall theme or you can be walking around town and see a big RED sign - you could be doing a portrait or snapping pictures of people and someone has a Red Coat on. Anything RED. You can think in the box or out of the box as long as your box is Red and Red is the prominent feature or colour in your photo.
* Photoshopping is allowed but the Red colour must be present in the image before any photo editing. No adding of the colour post processing.
* The PhotoBabble for October is simply an introduction and a request for your ideas so pop over to the Page section under October and have a look or click HERE to go right to the page.

Yes you have put the photos in the right place but unfortunately they are all too big.
The max size for any uploaded photos on the site is 120kb.
Sorry but you will have to resize photos before you upload.

Permalink Reply by Nicole Umina on October 12, 2011 at 2:09am Everyone is doing such a fantastic job! I'm so happy to see so many people go out and snap happy with such lovely and often interesting results. And all the wonderful feedback and support is everything we as organisers had hoped the group would produced. Thank you everyone for making this group work and we look forward to coming up with interesting achievable and challenging themes for you all in the upcoming months.

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.
And this is the completed screen ready for printing. I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
