Information about this group

I will be featuring in this group, the most popular videos from my youtube channel ´Capricornartist73´.

I have over 150 videos, and it is hard to sort through them all to find all the good stuff i have talked about over the last 2 years.
So that is why i am doing it here.

Your going to find lots of great information, inspiring ideas as well as Information about some of my techniques (which i feature in my paid course- the only difference being that in my paid course i explain about the products and give more detailed tutorials as well as personal tuition and guidance).

You will also learn so much more than just techniques, you get to know me as an artist, my thoughts about art, the creative process and why i do the things i do.

So I will be starting several discussions over time with different ´groups´of videos. So for example early on i created a series of videos showing you some techniques i had come up with through experimentation called ´Technique of the Week´ (which are still my most viewed and popular videos to date).
I will also be giving you tips on how to get more views on youtube. There are a few simple things you can do which can really boost you being seen!

Because i am sharing so much information for free which is my gift to you all, if any of you can spare any little monies from time to time it would be greatly appreciated. I have created a donate button on the home page. All monies received will be put back into this great community.

So welcome and i hope that my information and thoughts on art inspires you to be different, to see things from a different perspective, to realise that following your passion and not trying to please others with your art is important, that following your own intuition and spending time to develop your own style is what will make you stand out in this already over saturated Visual World! But above all to make art from the heart!

Inspire, Create and Educate!

Loved your videos and was glad to see you had your own site.  Techniques are most important to me, so I am happy to see the "how" behind mixed media techniques! Grattis!

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
