Repetition, Repetition, Repetition is the theme for our new photography challenge. Look for  repetative  patterns in all that you see. Be it in nature (ie bees hive, spider webs, flowers, rows of trees) or man made structues (ie buildings, stairs, rows of chairs). You can go small scale or large scale.  It is amazing how much of our world is made up of pattern when you start looking. You can even create your own intentional pattern by manipulating objects as artist Andy Goldsworthy does (see photo below). This has always been a favorite theme in photography and I am sure many of us already have a selection of photos that we could easily use here. However, we urge you not to rely on previously taken photos, instead get out there and snap some fresh ones. Happy Hunting!

He he there's me, first in!!
I haven't been out snapping away I have been doodling with photoshop. I hope this counts! Done a few different ones but I like this one the best.
One paintbrush, 3 sizes, 3 colours. Simples!

Great star burst pattern, but get out there girl!
this is very cool!
ok well...I took a few shots that unfortunatly didn't really turn out so well so I'll have to go back out tomorrow when the sun is out and take them again but I do have a couple that I kind of like and wanted to submit. they are super macro photos
This first one is of course tree bark:

and the second is a blue spruce tree in my neighbor's yard. she must have thought i was a lunatic taking the photo. Oh well!

I did do a soft focus on them in photo shop cause I thought it made them look purty!
Nice shot on the evergreen one. The needles seem to come right out at ya. Makes me feel all prickely, great affect. Good for you being the crazy, yet "interesting" neighbour.
LOL...thanks, I love this one too! I got a really cool one of moss but it's slightly out of focus so i'm gonna try again tomorrow. Super macro i find tricky you have to hold the camera really steady or it gets blurry and I can't tell till I get my camera home. But it should be cool!
Angela, if your camera has sports mode or movement mode or what ever your camera calls it.. turn it on... also..I shoot most of my shots when I'm not using my tripod with this selection..even with macro..then I can get the bugs or even the flower in the breeze ..or my pulse moving the camera..give it a try if you can.
Thanks! I deffinatly will try that today.
Thanks for that tip ...I'm going to try it out on my new camera today
It must be the blue.... aaahhhh.
If you take the photo when the sun is low it will excentuate the shadows. Bright sun, low in the sky, the photographer's gift!
I apologize for leaving coffee stains on the lamp...

HERE ARE 2 LINKS to TWO of my youtube videos talking and demonstrating about this amazing product:

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
