I began this painting at a workshop, it is a lady in an armchair with her back to me wearing a jumper and with her legs crossed and a bowl of fruit on a table behind her. To me this is instantly apparent but maybe not so to someone else.Question, I like its flow but dont know where to take it next,do I totally abstract it,fill in some spaces, draw over it and just have it beneath?Open for any suggestions but will only follow some LOL!

I disagree with Mo I'm afraid..not sure why her neck has to be thicker. I think you have captured her position perfectly. I love this painting the way it is. It is open, free flowing, vibrant and alive. There is lots of variation and great tonal depth.

This area i have highlighted is simply wonderful the colour choice and tones are so right it hurts.

I'm thinking an early Matisse. I personally think it is finished and I would not want to put anything more into the composition as it might become too cramped.

If you ever want to sell it to me...and if i can afford it! I want to buy it..i love it that much!

I would follow the suggestions that it is wonderful the way that it is!

Let the viewer see what they see or want to see.

And I am in love with the vintage look.

i will take aus $1 so then  I can say I sold a painting to Gary Reef!

I created my own story before I read your description Lee. And it's a lovely one too! There's something soothing in the colours and the forms you used in this piece. I'd edit some elements, maybe around the lower left portion. imho. Overall, its ready for primetime!

i really like the colors and composition here too. I especially like the round - mirror? whatever it is, I like it.

So once i have my image printed onto transparency film, I take my Ezscreen silk screen which has been coated in light sensitive emulsion (These sheets come pre-coated so they are ready to use). Place it onto a black board, then place the transparency image on top (this part needs to be done in a dark room with no direct sunlight). I take it outside and expose it for 1 minute and 40 seconds (but time varies depending on time of day and strength of sunlight). After i have exposed the image i place it into a tub of water for around 5 - 8 minutes. Then i rinse the screen out under fast running water until the unexposed area (the black) washes away. I then expose the screen to the sun for a further 20mins to completely harden the light sensitive emulsion.

And this is the completed screen ready for printing.  I simply use an old credit card to spread the ink over the screen making sure i do one complete full stroke across the screen (holding the credit card at a 45 degree angle). I immediately wash the screen out under fast flowing water and pat dry. I use fabric screen printing ink which washes out in water (which makes the process easy).

I love this product, their website is http://ezscreenprint.com/ (for full instructions and details on how to purchase this awesome product).
