Mo Mapes and I have been discussion which ipad styli we like the best. I like Ayl and Acase, but i've been EYEYING the nomad brushes, epsecially the ($39 - gulp!) Nomad Compose (www.nomadbrush.com)
i ordered an aponyo stylus (www.aponyo.com) but had to send it back because it is supposed to work like a retractable ball point pen, but the tip wouldn't go out of the casing all the way. very frustrating and cheap. The tip is covered with fabric, and it might be a little smoother to use than the usual plastic/rubber tipped styli, but I dunno. AND it was $18.00. The ones i use usually cost around $8 or so on amazon.
What does everyone else use?

Permalink Reply by Elke Trittel on February 4, 2012 at 8:44pm thanks a lot for posting the link to Nomad Compose! I'm stunned by their demo videos as i had no idea how you can paint on an ipad! Amazing!!!! I'm not a technival minded person but honestly i'm thrown by it,even watercolourpainting can be done on it and it looks real! The only question is how to print it afterwards if you need to,otherwise a great tool to prepare your art in beforehand!!!!

Permalink Reply by Mo Mapes on February 14, 2012 at 5:36pm Di- my Aponyo stylus has been working great. I guess you got a lemon. I just started working with my husband new iPad 2 with the stylus and having lots of fun. I got the watercolor app and that is a bit hard to get used to! I would love to try the Nomad- I think the watercolor app would be easier to use with that since it's more like a brush. I want to get the 'brushes" app like Ingrid did. That looks cool!
Had I the Heavens' embroidered cloths
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light -
I would spread those cloths under your feet.
But I, being poor, have only my dreams.
I have spread my dreams under your feet -
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
